How to Fix Your Animated Halloween Prop

Downloading Avatar Props on your Xbox 360 have been known to become temporarily unusable from time to time. If you are trying to get your Avatar ready for Halloween with his Werewolf costume or her Vampire dress, but the Scaredy Cat animated prop won't work properly, you shouldn't worry. This is a growing pain for the Xbox Live system that is constantly updated, and all broken Avatar Props easily are restored once you go through the necessary steps.

  Enter the Avatar Editor from the Xbox 360 main menu. If a message mentioning that the Avatar clothing and props in your collection need to be updated appears, press the "A" button, and wait for the green loading bar to fill. This process updates all of your Avatar items to the latest version. Try equipping the Halloween collection item again.

  Delete the Halloween item from your memory unit. From the "System Settings" menu, select "Memory," the storage device that holds the "Avatar Items" data, "Avatar Items" and the specific Halloween-themed item.

  Press the "Delete" option to wipe the item from your system.

  Navigate to the "Settings" menu, then to "Account Management" and "Download History."

  Locate the Halloween Avatar Item from the complete list of all the items you have previously downloaded, and download the item again.

  Open the Avatar Editor, and equip the Halloween prop to your Avatar.
