Instructions
Turn on the Xbox 360 and TV set. Press the "X" button on your console remote control to access the Xbox Live Settings.
Navigate to the "Personal Settings" option and select it with the "A" button on the remote.
Choose "Voice" from the Personal Settings menu.
Select "Play Through Headset" in the Voice Output menu, and raise the "Volume" to 10.
Connect the DC power cable into the "X3 Transmitter." Plug the other end of the DC power cable into the power outlet.
Insert the included "Ydapter" into the red and white "Line Out" audio ports on the back of the TV. The Ydapter allows another set of audio cables to be plugged into it. If there is currently a red and white audio cable plugged into those "out" ports on your TV, remove them and plug the Ydapter into the TV's "out" ports. Then plug the old audio cables into the "Ydapter." Plug the other end of the Ydapter into the "Line In" port on the X3 Transmitter.
Arrange the transmitter near the Xbox 360 console.
Remove the battery cover on the right ear of the X3 headset. Insert the included two AAA batteries into the X3 headset. Replace the battery cover. Try on the headset and keep it between 2 to 20 feet away from the transmitter.
Connect the "X3 Xbox Live Talkback Cable" into the "Line Out" port on the X3 headphones. Connect the other end of the cable that contains the "Mute" button, into the "Line In" port on the Xbox 360 remote control. This connection is only necessary to chat with other Xbox Live members.
Press the "Power" button on the left ear of the X3 headset to turn it on.
Move the "Volume" dial on the bottom left ear of the headset to adjust the listening volume. Move the dial on the Talkback Cable to adjust the speaking volume. Move the "Mute" button on the Talkback Cable into the "On or Off" position to shut off the microphone when you don't want to be heard.
Press and hold the "Power" button on the X3 headset again until its LED turns on and then off again. The LED on the transmitter will light steady and the LED on the headset will blink once a second. The X3 headset is now paired with the transmitter.
