Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click "View Network Status and Tasks" under "Network and Sharing."
Right-click on the Internet connection to share with the Xbox 360. Click "Properties" from the drop-down menu.
Click the "Sharing" tab in the "Properties" dialog box. Check the box next to "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection."
Click "OK" and the network status changes to "Shared."
Open a Web browser and test the Internet connection. If it connects, proceed to Step 6.
Insert one end of the standard Ethernet cable into the computer network port. Insert the other end into the Xbox 360 console.
Power on your Xbox console and turn on your television. Press the "Xbox" button on the remote control or game controller to go to "My Xbox."
Use the controller or the arrows on the remote control to select "System Settings." Select "Network Settings." Select "WiredNetwork" at the prompt.
Select "Additional Settings" and select "Restore to Factory Defaults." Now the network settings are set to "Automatic."
Return to "Network Settings." Select "Test Xbox LIVE Connection." Xbox connects to Xbox LIVE.
