Setting Up an Ethernet Connectivity Cable for an Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is capable of going online and using the Internet, either with a wireless router or with an ethernet cable. If you are using an ethernet cable, it's as simple as plugging in the cable and testing the connection. To utilize online play with your Xbox 360, you will need to purchase an Xbox Live account. It should only take a few minutes to connect your Xbox to the Internet.

     Make sure your modem is functioning properly.

     Take the ethernet cable and connect one end to the modem.

     Connect the other end of the ethernet cable to the Xbox 360 unit. The connection is located at the rear of the console, on the right side.

     Turn on the console and follow the instructions on the screen to set up your online account.
