How to Watch Netflix Using Xbox Live on the Xbox 360 Game Console

With an Xbox Live Gold Membership, 5 MB of hard drive space, Internet access and a Netflix account, you can stream movies instantly to your TV through your Xbox 360 game console.

Things You'll Need

Xbox Live Gold Membership
5 MB of hard drive space on your Xbox 360 game console
Netflix account
Internet access (DSL or cable connection highly recommended)
Computer with simultaneous Internet access

Instructions

  Sign in to your Xbox Live account.

  Scroll to "Video Marketplace" on the Xbox 360 dashboard, and select the "Netflix" screen.

  Click "Confirm Download" when asked if you want to download the Netflix movie player for your Xbox. Allow the files to download, and you will be returned to the dashboard.

  Scroll back to the "Video Marketplace" selection, and select the Netflix screen.

  Select "I am already a member of Netflix" to open a screen titled "Activate your Xbox 360." On this screen is an activation code, a six-character combination of letters and numbers.

  Go to your computer, and log in to your Netflix account.

  Click "Watch Instantly" from the main Netflix screen, and then click "Instantly to your TV." This opens a page that gives you the opportunity to enter a code.

  Enter the activation code from your Xbox. Click "Activate Now."

  Receive confirmation from Netflix that the device is available for use. Your Xbox 360 is now ready to stream Netflix content.
