Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your Xbox 360 home console if it is powered on. Look at the back of the console and find the part of the console labeled "I/O" and a part of the console above the "A/V" label that has two small holes.
Plug the end of the wire of the Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless adapter into the "I/O" part of your console (the place you plug the wire into is above the Ethernet port). Place the two prongs of the device into the two holes above the "A/V" part of the console. This is where the wireless adapter will rest as you use your Xbox 360 console.
Raise the antenna of the wireless adapter so it is pointing into the air. Place the console where you had it previously and power it on.
Click "Right" on the directional pad of your Xbox 360 controller and navigate to "System Settings." Select "Network Settings" and select "Wireless Network." Find your network you will be connecting to and enter the security key of your router (if you do not have a security key, your console will automatically connect to it). Select "Test your Xbox Live Connection" to make sure you are getting a connection to your Xbox 360. If everything goes well, you will be able to connect to Xbox Live by signing into your gamertag that is associated with your Xbox Live account every time you power on your Xbox 360.
