How to Set Up an XBox 360 Elite on Live

You can compete against millions of gamers worldwide with the Xbox Live gaming network. The built-in networking port on your Xbox 350 Elite enables you to connect your console to your home network with an Ethernet cable. Once connected, set up your Xbox Live account so you can go head-to-head against other players in your favorite Xbox titles.

  Turn off your Xbox 360 Elite console.

  Connect an Ethernet cable to the networking port on the rear of the Xbox and plug the other end into your broadband router or modem. Turn back on your Xbox console.

  Open the "My Xbox" menu and press "A" to select your avatar. Highlight the "Join Xbox Live" entry and press "A." This will open a setup wizard for your Xbox Live account. Follow the directions displayed by the setup wizard to enter your email address, agree to the licensing terms and enter payment information for the account.
