How to Hook Up Xbox Live With Verizon FiOS

Xbox Live allows you to go online and play against other players in games like Halo Reach and FIFA Soccer 11. Xbox Live can be used with any Internet service provider, including Verizon Fios. In order to hook up Xbox live with Fios, you will need a router and an Ethernet cable.

Things You'll Need

Verizon Fios with a wireless router
Ethernet or CAT5 cable

  Make sure that your router is plugged into an electrical outlet and that it is connected to the Internet. Connect one end of your Ethernet cable to the port in the back of your Xbox and plug the other end into the port in the back of your router.

  Turn your Xbox on and allow the main menu to load up. Use the controller's analog stick to select the "System Settings" menu. Choose "Network Settings," then "Test Xbox Live Connection."

  Wait for your Xbox 360 to test your connection to Fios. Once the connection has been established, you can sign into your Xbox live account. You will now be able to access the Internet and play online with other Xbox gamers.
