How to Hide Your Xbox Status

Sometimes, you just want to play a game on your Xbox 360 and not be bothered by your friends. If you have nosy friends, it might not seem possible to play your game in peace. However, Microsoft has allowed the ability for users to appear invisible and hide their Xbox Live status. This feature can be enabled in a few short steps.

     Press the guide button on your Xbox 360 controller. This is the button that looks like the Xbox 360 logo right in the center of your controller.

     Move the left stick to the right all the way to the rightmost menu. Press "A" on Preferences.

     Press "A" on Online Status. Press "A" on "Appear Offline."
