While the firmware of the original Xbox cannot be updated because an update was never released for it, gamers using an Xbox can still update their Live dashboard. Microsoft released the update for Live to stop gamers from cheating during online game matches and also to add some features. Make all other changes to the original Xbox dashboard from the dashboard options menu.
