Connecting to Xbox Live Using a Wireless Network
Connect the Xbox 360 wireless adapter to the back of the Xbox 360, ensuring that the tabs on the adapter securely snap into the slots on either side of the system's serial number on the back of the console. Plug the adapter's USB cable into the port next to the Xbox 360's ethernet port. Position the antennas on the adapter so that they point straight up.
Turn on the Xbox 360 console. Check the light on the wireless adapter. The light will display green if the adapter is successfully connected, red if the adapter is ready for configuration, and will flash red if the device is experiencing a problem. If the adapter does not display a light, the device is not receiving power.
Turn on your wireless network, if you will be using a private wireless network.
