How to Access Your Xbox Gamertag on a PC

Microsoft Xbox 360 owners can access Xbox LIVE on a PC by entering their user information and retrieving their gamertags from the Xbox.com website. Much of the same information that is available on the Xbox 360 console is available on Xbox LIVE, including messaging and friend lists.

Instructions

  Go to Xbox.com and click the "Sign In" button at the top-right corner of the screen.

  Enter your email address and password.

  Click on your gamertag to access your user account. From here you can edit your profile, privacy settings and contact information, as well as your web, contact and forum preferences.

  Choose "Friends" to view your list of Xbox LIVE friends and see what they have been playing lately. Click on a friend&'s name to send him a message or view his friend list.

  Select the option for "Messages" to enter the message center. Here you can view text messages or listen to voice messages you have received, and send messages to others.

  View your list of games played and achievements earned under the "Played Games" heading. The list is sorted from top to bottom, starting with the most recent.
