Things You'll Need
Instructions
Move your wireless adapter. Although it is certainly convenient to hook your adapter around the back of your Xbox 360 console, this is not the best strategy for getting good reception. Try to move the adapter to an area where it has a direct (and unobstructed) path to the source of your wireless signal. It is very important that there be no objects in the way of your wireless signal, as this can compromise your wireless strength.
Turn of wireless devices. If you have an active Bluetooth headset or are using other wireless devices closely to the Xbox 360 console, they may be interfering with the Xbox 360&'s wireless signal. Turn these devices off (or put them in standby mode) to reduce interference.
Change your wireless channel. If you live in close proximity to other wireless networks, you may be using the same wireless channel as someone else, which can slow down performance. Log in to your router&'s settings menu (see your owner&'s manual for specifics on this process) and then try changing the channel. If you don&'t see immediate improvement, try another channel.
Use a wireless repeater. This accessory can be used halfway between your console and the router to boost connectivity. Wireless repeaters are sold at most major electronics shops.
