How to Search for People on Xbox Live

In order to play live with friends on Xbox Live, you need to search for people to play with. Xbox Live makes it possible to play an online game with friends in your neighborhood or in a different country. Searching for people can occasionally be difficult, especially if you’re new to it. The program allows you to have up to 100 friends.

Instructions

  Sign into Xbox Live. Find out the “Gamertag” of a friend or friends. This is a person’s user name on Xbox Live.

  Navigate to “Friends” on the menu and open it to view your friends. Select “Add Friend” by selecting the blank avatar. This will allow you to enter the Gamertag of the friend you want to play with. Press “Done.”

  Write a message to the friend or simply use the standard message. Select “Send Request.” The friend request will be sent to your friend, and you’ll be able to see once she has accepted.

  Select your friend&'s profile once she has accepted your request. This will allow you to check her profile information. Choose to see a list of her friends. This will allow you to search for more people on Xbox Live.

  Write down the Gamertags of friends of your friend you would like to add. Repeat the steps to send friend requests to additional friends.
