How to Recover an Email Address from an Xbox LIVE ID

Recovering an email address from an Xbox Live account is not actually possible. If the Windows Live ID you tied to your gamertag has been deleted, expired, or you've simply forgotten it--there is no way to obtain it.

You can, however, enter a new Windows Live ID in its stead, without any negative consequences. You'll be able to login to Xbox Live once again upon doing so. Note that it is extremely important that you do not delete your Xbox Live profile or try to recover it; doing so may irreversibly damage it beyond repair.

     Select "Change Windows Live ID" in your Xbox dashboard.

     Choose "Continue."

     Type the email address of the new Windows Live ID you'd like to associate with your gamertag.

     Enter the password for your Windows Live ID account when prompted.

     Confirm you'd like to save the changes to your account and accept the terms of agreement. You'll be returned to the Xbox dashboard.
