Eject any disc currently in your Xbox 360 console. Disconnect the Ethernet cable if you currently have a network cable attached to the 360. Place the installation disc that comes with the wireless adapter into your console's disc drive.
Power off the Xbox 360 and then power it back on again. Press the "A" button on the Xbox 360 controller to select "Yes, Update Now." Eject the disc after the update finishes installing.
Line up the two plastic tabs on the wireless adapter with the two holes on the back end of the Xbox 360. Push the adapter onto the console.
Plug the adapter's USB cable into the USB port on the back of the Xbox 360. Lift up the adapter's two wireless antennae.
Press the "Xbox" button at the center of the console's controller. Navigate to the "System" tab and scroll down to "Network Settings." Press "A."
Scroll down to "Edit Settings" and press "A." Navigate to the "Basic Settings" tab and select the "Wireless Mode" option.
Scroll to the option for your wireless network in the list of detected networks and press "A." Type your network password, if your wireless network uses a security password, and choose "Done."
Choose "Test Xbox Live" and select "Yes, update now" to connect to Xbox Live through the wireless adapter.
