Things You'll Need
Instructions
Ensure that your Internet connection is active and functioning properly. If possible, test your network connection on your computer via the same method you would like to connect your Xbox 360 to Live (via ethernet cable or wireless signal). Check your Internet router and make sure it is powered on and connected to your cable connection. Your internet router will display green connectivity and power LED lights when functioning correctly.
Connect your wireless adapter (sold seperately) or ethernet cable to your Xbox 360 via the Internet connectivity port located on the rear side of the console (next to the AV/HDMI ports). Power on your Xbox 360 console and allow the main menu or "dashboard" to load fully before continuing. If you are using a wireless adapter, use the console's main menu to select and connect to your local Internet connection or Wi-Fi network.
Use your game controller to navigate the Xbox 360's main menu and select "Xbox Live Experience" and then sign in with your Xbox Live account (called a "gamertag"). If you have not yet created a gamertag and registered for Xbox Live, you will be prompted to create a new account. Enter your name, address, email, and choose a password then select "Create New Account." Your Xbox 360 will then be connected to Xbox Live via your Time Warner Cable Internet connection.
