How to Use XBox Live With an HP Laptop

If you have a wireless network in your home, you can use your Wi-Fi-enabled HP laptop to connect your Xbox 360 to Xbox Live, saving the cost of purchasing a Wi-Fi adapter for your Xbox 360.

      Connect your HP laptop to your wireless network by launching the HP Network Assistant, if you have not already done so. Check the Resources below for HP tips on troubleshooting a wireless network if you are having issues connecting your HP laptop to your wireless network.

      Connect your Xbox 360 to your laptop using an Ethernet cable.

      Right-click the network icon in your notification area, which is the area in the lower right corner of the taskbar, and select ̶0;Open Network and Sharing Center.̶1;

      Select ̶0;Manage wireless networks,̶1; found in the top left corner of the ̶0;Network and Sharing Center.̶1;

      Highlight both the ̶0;wireless network connection̶1; and the ̶0;local area connection̶1; and right-click them. Select ̶0;Bridge Connection" and wait a few moments for the process to complete.

      Turn on your Xbox 360, and navigate to ̶0;System Settings̶1; under ̶0;My Xbox,̶1; then select ̶0;Network Settings.̶1; Select ̶0;Test Xbox Live Connection̶1; to complete the process. You will now be able to play on Xbox Live via your HP laptop.
