Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your Xbox and computer. Unplug your router and modem. Make sure everything is off before connecting any cables.
Connect one Ethernet cable to your modem and your router. The Ethernet jack looks like a larger version of a standard phone jack. Your modem should have one Ethernet jack, but your router should have several.
Get a second Ethernet cable. Connect one end of it to your PC's Ethernet jack. Take the other end and connect it to your router. Get the third Ethernet cable. Connect one end of it to your Xbox 360, and the other end to your router.
Turn on the modem, the router and then the PC. Check your Internet connection. If your PC cannot access the Internet, you need to check your router's settings. Refer to your router's manual for help. After successfully completing this step, your Xbox and your router will have a connection.
