Instructions
Turn on the Xbox. Go to the ̶0;Network̶1; tab. Download a ̶0;Dashboard̶1; installation program from the list presented in the ̶0;FTP̶1; window--for example Xbe Shortcut maker. Highlight the ̶0;Dashboard̶1; installation program in the window once it has downloaded. Press the ̶0;A̶1; button on the controller and follow the prompts to install the Dashboard file onto the Xbox̵7;s hard drive. Select ̶0;desktop̶1; when prompted for where to save the Dashboard file.
Return to the ̶0;Network̶1; tab. Select the ̶0;FTP̶1; program and follow the command prompts to connect the Xbox to your wireless home network.
Navigate through the ̶0;E̶1; drive in the ̶0;FTP̶1; window that has appeared on the screen. Highlight the ̶0;default.xbe̶1; file in the list of files presented. Select the ̶0;delete̶1; icon and press ̶0;A̶1; on the controller.
Navigate to the Xbox̵7;s desktop. Select the Dashboard file. Click on the ̶0;Copy̶1; icon. Copy the Dashboard file into the ̶0;E̶1; drive where the deleted file was located. Wait for the Dashboard file to be copied to the ̶0;E̶1; drive. Highlight the Dashboard file with the mouse. Rename the Dashboard file ̶0;default.xbe.̶1; Select the ̶0;Quit̶1; icon and press the ̶0;A̶1; button to exit the ̶0;FTP̶1; program and return to the Home screen.
Restart the Xbox and wait as the new Dashboard loads into the game console̵7;s operating system and then displays itself on the screen.
