How to Connect Your Xbox 360 to Windows 7

If you have an Xbox 360 console but have not linked it up to your PC yet, you are missing out. Your PC can stream movies (as well as pictures and music) right to your Xbox, letting you watch them on your TV. This procedure describes how to connect an Xbox 360 to a PC running Windows 7.

  On your PC, click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Network and Internet."

  Select "Home Group and Sharing Options."

  Click "Change advanced sharing settings."

  Under "Media Streaming," click "Choose Media Streaming Options."

  Click "Turn on Media Streaming."

  Name your media library if you want to, but it is not necessary.

  Click "Choose Default Settings." Choose star ratings and parental controls if you want, and then click "OK" to complete the PC setup.

  Turn on your Xbox 360. Go to the "My Xbox Channel" and select "Music," "Video" or "Picture Library."
