How to Stop an XBox Live Subscription

If you are an Xbox Live subscriber, you can connect your Xbox to the Internet and play an Xbox game with anyone around the world, who also has a subscription.   Call 1 (800) 4MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269). You can only cancel Xbox Live memberships over the phone.

  Say "accounts and billing" after the prompt says the options and asks you what your call is about. Then say "cancel my Xbox Live account" after the prompt says other options.

  Wait on the line until you are directed to an accounts representative.

  Provide the following information to prove your identity: name, address, last four numbers of your credit card used to purchase Xbox Live, gamertag or profile name used on Xbox Live, email address that you used for your Xbox Live account and phone number.

  Ask the representative to cancel your Xbox Live subscription. The representative, once he has confirmed your identity, will cancel your subscription.
