Make sure you have four Xbox Live profiles. You will need at least two Xbox Live-enabled accounts or one for each location (so up to four if each player is in a different location.) If two or more people are playing at one location, you will need to sign one player into the main profile, then sign everyone else in as a Guest. They will appear as "Account Name #".
Go to the main menu and select Tour, then Xbox Live Tour. If you do not already have a band and characters, now is the time to make them.
Have your main player sign in and select their character. Once they are in, any other local players can sign in as Guests and select their characters.
Hit the Blue Button or X to invite additional players. Your Friends List will appear, from which you can select the players you wish to join your band. Alternatively, you can Hit the Yellow Button or Y to Find Additional Players. This will select random players from Xbox Live and drop them into your empty band slots. This is great if you're looking to make some new friends or just play a few sets with some random people.
Press Start when you are ready. This takes you to the Practice Space. If you want to change your Band's name, roster and logo, or enter the Rock Shop, this is where you do it.
Hit Continue Tour to start playing. Have fun!
