How to Link Your Xbox Live Gamertag to EA

Xbox Live is an online gaming and content distribution system for the Xbox 360 console. Some Electronic Arts games require users to have an EA account to play online. This account allows Xbox Live users to access EA's servers. EA's website does not include a way to link Xbox Live gamertags directly; instead, users must play an EA game to link the account. This can be done with demos such as "Fight Night Champion" or "EA MMA."

  Sign into Xbox Live on your Xbox 360.

  Go to the "Games Marketplace."

  Select "Explore Games," then "Games and Demos" and then "Demos." Choose "Titles A-Z" and download the "Fight Night Champions" demo.

  Open the demo by selecting "My Xbox," "Games Library" and "Fight Night Champion."

  Select "Sign into EA" from the main menu of the demo.

  Enter your email address and password for the EA account you want to link. After signing in successfully, your gamertag will be linked to the account.
