Since the service provides content from standard-definition rips of analog video to high-definition digital video, improving your connection can remove significant blur when streaming movies and programs from Netflix.

  Close all downloads, torrents, streaming media or other Internet clients on any computers connected to your network. By reducing your bandwidth usage, you allot more bandwidth to use for Netflix.

  Secure your wireless router's connection. Open wireless networks are convenient, but in a world of mobile Internet devices, open networks are frequently hijacked by neighbors. If unauthorized users are using your Internet, your connection speed will diminish. The XBox Wireless Adapter is compatible with WEP encryption; other password settings will not grant access between the router and the console.

  Connect your XBox 360 directly to your wireless router with an Ethernet cable. With a direct connection, your Netflix stream will utilize the maximum speed from your Internet modem.

  Adjust your picture settings in the XBox 360's System Settings menu. The display options allow you to customize the display for your particular television set. Standard definition settings will look blurry on a high-definition screen, while high-definition settings will only display correctly with the appropriate setting. For example, your 1080p television set will look blurry with the 720p setting.
