How to Get Xbox to Work With Apple Airport Express

If you want to connect to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360, using your Apple AirPort Express -- a small device that can run a home Wi-Fi network -- is a convenient way to do so. However, you may notice that the Xbox 360 has difficulty recognizing the network. There is a quick and easy settings adjustment you can do that will allow your Xbox to immediately find and use the Wi-Fi network.

     Load the AirPort Utility -- which comes with AirPort Express -- on your Mac.

     Go to "Network Settings."

     Change "802.11n only" from 5 GHZ to 2.4 GHZ. The wireless network should reset itself.

     Load your Xbox, go to Xbox Live and let it scan for new networks. The wireless network should show up.
