How to Copy & Paste the Rebel Flag Into an XBL Bio

The Xbox Live "Bio" area is a text area that appears along with your account information in your gamertag profile. You can add information about yourself to the "Bio" area or copy and paste ASCII text art into your account using the Xbox Live website. To create ASCII text art from an image of a Confederate flag that you can paste into the "Bio" text field, you can use an online ASCII art generator.

Instructions

  Download a Confederate flag image to your hard drive, or copy the URL for the rebel flag image to your clipboard by opening the image directly in the browser, then highlighting it and pressing "Ctrl" and "C."

  Visit an ASCII art generator website. Click the "Upload File" button and select the image from your hard drive, then click "Open." To use an image on the Internet, paste the image URL into the "URL of image" or "From Web" text field by pressing "Ctrl" and "V."

  Click "Send" or "Create ASCII Art."

  Copy the ASCII art text to your clipboard.

  Visit the Xbox Live website.

  Click the "Sign In" link in the top right corner of the Web page.

  Type your gamertag email address and password in the displayed text fields, then click "Sign in."

  Click the "My Account" link in the top right corner.

  Click the "Edit Profile" link next to your gamertag and avatar on the right side of the Web page.

  Click to place your cursor in the "Bio" text field. Press and hold "Ctrl" and press "V" to paste the rebel flag ASCII art text into the "Bio" field.
