How to Add a Shadow to a Gamertag

A gamertag is an expression of who you are as a gamer on Xbox Live. While there are customizable options thorugh the Xbox, to create a truly unique gamertag, you may need to hack the system. To create a shadow backdrop on your gamertag, you will need to use a USB device and your computer to hack into the gamertag codes used on your Xbox. Then you will be able to reload this changed information back into your Xbox to see the final results.

  Plug your USB device into your Xbox and copy your gamertag profile to the device. To do this you will need to go to System Settings, then Gamer Profiles, and choose the Move button to show the devices it can be moved to.

  Open your browser and type http://www.mediafire.com/?1zaxbsac1nd771w into the search bar and download the program EzGT 2.2 from Mediafire.

  Open the program on your computer.

  Plug your USB into your computer and open the gamertag profile file using the Open button under File on EzGT 2.2.

  Click the Advanced tab and choose the Add Hex (0d) button.

  Type in a space into the text bar.

  Click the Add tab and choose a color for your gamertag font. If you want it to be white, you can skip this step.

  Type in a four-character name for your tag into the text box after the space.

  Click the Advanced tab again and choose the Add Hex (0d) button again.

  Click on the Add tab and choose the color for your shadow.

  Repeat the four-character name into the text box, using no spaces.

  Click File and then choose Save Text to save this file back onto your USB device.

  Plug your USB device back into your Xbox and upload the new gamertag file by going once more to System Settings.
