How to Fix a Live Nazi Zombies Problem on the Xbox

Released in 2008, "Call of Duty: World at War" was the first title in the "Call of Duty" franchise to include a bonus "zombie" mode. "Nazi Zombies," which pits players against wave after wave of German undead, can be played offline, or as part of a multiplayer experience on Xbox Live. However, "Nazi Zombies" on Xbox Live can occasionally be subject to problems such as disconnections, slow game play and lag between controller commands and onscreen action. Luckily, there are several ways to troubleshoot these issues.

Instructions

    • 1

Restart your network. Turn off your Xbox 360 in addition to any hardware you use to connect to the internet (i.e., router and modem). Wait one minute. First turn back on your modem, then your router and then your console. Sign onto Xbox Live and try playing a round of "Nazi Zombies" to see if performance has improved.

    • 2

Turn off other Internet devices. According to Xbox.com support, home computers and laptops used for downloading files or browsing the Internet can use up bandwith that would otherwise contribute to the performance of Xbox Live games such as "World at War."

    • 3

Limit the number of players. "Nazi Zombies" can support up to four players at once through an Xbox Live match. Try joining a game lobby with only one or two other players.

    • 4

Use a wired connection. If you're connecting to Xbox Live over a wireless connection, your problem could be as simple as a weak signal. Plug a network cable into the back port of your Xbox, and the other end into your router.

    • 5

Test your connection. Got to "My Xbox" from the 360's home screen, and choose "System Settings." Next choose "Network Settings," then "Wired Connection." Select "Test Xbox Live Connection" to diagnose any problems. If you're still encountering problems with "Nazi Zombies" over Xbox Live, contact your Internet service provider.
