How to Hook Up Live on Xbox360

Xbox 360 is a video game system manufactured by Microsoft. Xbox Live allows gamers to play and compete in video games with friends, family and unknown opponents all over the world. If a player wants to utilize the Live feature on their Xbox, they have to set it up first. It is not a difficult or long process to set up Xbox Live and gamers can be set up and playing multiplayer games within minutes.

Instructions

  1. Wired Connection

      Place your Xbox 360 next to the TV to which you are going to be connecting it. Put it in a place where it will not be knocked down and can remain in a safe position.

      Connect the video cable from the Xbox to the TV. Connect the cable to your TV's input connection.

      Pick up the Ethernet cable and plug it into the back of the Xbox and place the other side of the Ethernet cable into the cable box. Make sure the cable box is working and that you have broadband or DSL Internet service.

      Turn on your TV and Xbox 360. Once the Xbox boots up, you should see a dashboard on the TV that says "Xbox Live." Click on that icon to connect to the Live feature.

      Decide if you would like the free, gold or family pack Live membership.

    Wireless Connection

      Pull up your Xbox screen on your TV. Go to My Xbox, then select "System Settings."

      Select "Network Settings."

      Select the name of your wireless network.

      Enter the network password if you have one.

      Select "Yes" to update your console software. Once it has updated, you should be wirelessly connected to Xbox Live and you can go to the dashboard on the TV and connect to it.
